Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration: You Bring Out the Happy in Me!

Hello and welcome to my Inspiration post for this wonderful Saturday!!!  Hope you're all enjoying a nice weekend.  I'm so excited with Summer right around the corner and thought I'd make a fun happy card!

Here it is...

Here's another adorable cutie from the  TGF Magical Kit.  She's actually one of the originals called "Shimmer Bean" and I was excited to see her in this awesome set again!  I colored her up with my copics and then added Wink of Stella all over her cute outfit!  For the background, I used some TH distress markers to water color on some water color paper.  I hadn't done this in a while so it was so much fun! I also added droplets of water to the background which gave a cool resist effect,  making the water color stand out even more!  The sentiment was from my stash and I just embossed it to the background  using some white embossing powder.    To finish off my card, I added some fun yellow twine and of course sequins! :)

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Wild Honey, Tattered Rose, Tumbled Glass - Tim Holtz Distress Markers
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

Have a wonderful weekend and see you back next week!

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Saturday: You Make My Heart Sing!

Happy Saturday Friends!  Hope you're all having a wonderful day and that some of you get to enjoy the longer Memorial Holiday weekend!  I've been under the weather this week with the "Sicky Bugs" which have been been passing through my household lately.  I'm a little disappointed that I am still having to recoup during his holiday weekend.  However, I am also thankful I will have some extra time to hopefully rest up and get better!  Well,  to cheer me up this weekend, I made a fun and cheerful card to share with you all!

Here it is...

This cutie comes from the adorable TGF Magical Kit.  She's one of the newbies in that set and I absolutely love her!!!  I colored her up with my copics and then added Wink of Stella all over her dress and flowers in her hair. The lovely papers in the background are from a collection called Dear Lizzy Neopolitan by American Crafts.  These backgrounds are so pretty!  The sentiment also came from the set which was pretty cool.   To finish off my card, I added some roses, twine and sequins...my favorite embellies!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Dear Lizzy Neopolitan - American Crafts
Red Barn - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

I'm entering my card in the TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - Put a Bow on it!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Memorial Day!

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: To A Beautiful Friend!

Welcome to a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge today!  I'm excited to host our theme this week which is Black and White with a Touch of Color!!!  Our fabulous sponsor is Stitchy Bear!

Here's my card...

Stitchy Bear was kind to let us use some of their digis for this week.   I just love these silhouette type images, especially the fairy theme images...just because I LOVE fairies! :)  This image is called Rose Fantasy and I thought she actually worked out perfectly with the theme this week.  I wanted to focus on the image and the theme so I kept my card very simple just using the lightest of pinks to color up her wings.  I also added lots of  Wink of Stella  over the wings to give it lots of shimmer!   For some added touch of my pink color, I added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pink sequins.

Here are the additional supplies used on my card...
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Hope you are inspired to join in this week!  If you want to see projects from my fellow DT gals, then visit the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Saturday: Moments Canvas

Happy Saturday all!  Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  Today, I have a fun canvas to share which I had made for my mom for Mother's Day last weekend!

Here it is...

I don't really have a chance to make layouts very often although I do love making them!  And of course they make fantastic gifts too!   For my project,  I started off with a blank white canvas which I painted with some Martha Stewart acrylic paint in "Sea Glass".  I added some Prima paper on top and distressed the edges along with the picture with my Tim Holtz distress tool.   Now the fun part is adding all the embellies.   I added some fabric trim, some Prima trinkets and lots of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.   I think my favorite piece is the little cupid angel at the top corner! :)  I also used a couple of bottles of my Tattered Angels glimmer mist to splatter bits of color all over the layout.  It's a little hard to see in the photo but I thought it came out pretty cool!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Sunshine - Prima Marketing
Trinkets and Embellishments - Prima Marketing
Glimmer Mist - Tattered Angels
Distress Tool - Tim Holtz
Sea Glass - Martha Stewart

Hope you enjoyed my project!   Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Happy Mother's Day!

Hello!  Hope everyone's having a great Saturday and for those of you celebrating Mother's day that it is a fantastic weekend!  Today's I have a simple Mother's Day card I've made in celebration of this special holiday!

Here it is...

I had recently picked up some Wow embossing powder in Gold Rich Pale and I couldn't wait to play with it because I really love the tone of this gold color.   I  used my Versamark ink to stamp some flowers and leaves from a set called Contemporary Roses by My Favorite Things.  I then water colored over them with some Tim Holtz distress inks.  I really soft colors against the gold.  I added Wink of Stella over the flowers and you can't really tell from the photo but there is tons of pretty sparkle here!  To finish off my card, I added some sequins including the fun heart ones from Pretty Pink Posh.  I also tied some pink jute rope in a bow for a bit more splash of color!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Versamark Ink - Tusukineko
Mustard Seed-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Picked Raspberry-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Peacock Feathers-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Spiced Marmalade-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

Happy Mother's Day friends and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: At the Beach!

Happy Tuesday Friends and welcome to a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge for this 1st week of May!  Our challenge this week is the ever so popular "Anything Goes"!!!

Here's my card...

With Summer right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to use this cute mermaid called Monet the Mermaid by A Random Fan!  Not only is she super adorable but just perfect for a Summer card.  I colored her up with my copics and decided to use a new color combo I found for her hair.  I really like how it came out!  I also used a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen all over her for some added sparkle.  I found some papers in my stash from a collection called Summer Soul from Fancy Pants Designs.  They were perfect beach papers for this cute beach girl!  The small flower in her hair is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Since the card was pretty simple, I thought it would be cool to add more dimension with the flower.  And of course I can never resist adding some scattered sequins to the background for fun!

Here are the additional supplies used on my card...
Salty Ocean - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Mono Multi-Liquid Glue - Tombow

I hope you enjoyed my card and join in on the challenge!  If you want to see what the rest of the DT has come up with or for more details on the challenge, then visit the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy

Hi Friends and Happy Saturday!  I have a fun birthday card to share for today's Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Day!
